I don’t have the same energy. I’m not doing as much.
And honestly…
That feels uncomfortable.
The Discomfort of Stillness
I’ve found myself spending more time in stillness.
And if I’m honest — it’s not easy.
Because stillness forces you to face what you’ve been avoiding.
It’s quiet.
It’s unfamiliar.
And sometimes… it feels scary.
The Inner Resistance
Part of me keeps saying:
“Get up. Do something. Move forward.”
That old voice — the one that measures progress by activity.
But another part of me is beginning to see something different.
A Realization
What if this isn’t a setback?
What if this is healing?
Healing Doesn’t Look Like Progress
We often expect healing to look like:
• Moving forward quickly • Feeling strong again • Getting “back to normal”
But real healing doesn’t work like that.
Sometimes…
Healing looks like slowing down. Healing looks like sitting in the quiet. Healing looks like not having answers yet.
Grief in the Silence
There are moments where the weight of loss shows up.
Memories. Voices. Moments that don’t come back.
And in those moments…
You don’t move forward.
You sit with it.
A Shift in Perspective
I’ve started to notice something:
There is something happening within the stillness.
Not visible.
Not loud.
But real.
A kind of restoration.
Finding Meaning in the Quiet
In these quiet moments, I’ve found space to reflect.
To remember.
To feel.
To process things I didn’t have time to before.
And slowly…
That space begins to feel less empt
Faith and Healing
For me, this healing is deeply connected to faith.
To trust.
To letting go of control.
To believing that even in stillness…
Something meaningful is happening.
A Gentle Invitation
If you’re in a season where life feels slower…
Where things feel uncertain…
Where you don’t feel like yourself…
Maybe this isn’t something to rush through.
Maybe this is something to sit with.
Reflection
Ask yourself:
• What if this season isn’t holding me back… but helping me heal? • What if I don’t need to rush out of this moment? • What might I discover if I allow myself to slow down?
There’s a well-known prayer that reflects this kind of inner shift:
“Where there is anxiety… let me bring peace. Where there is pain… let me bring understanding.”
Sometimes healing begins not by changing the world around us…
But by changing what’s happening within us.
If you’re navigating a season of uncertainty, loss, or emotional overwhelm… You don’t have to go through it alone. A quiet, honest conversation can help you process what you’re experiencing and move forward — at your own pace.
